Willingboro, New Jersey – The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, New Jersey State Conference’s Women in the NAACP committee will host an Empowerment Conference on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 9am – 3:30pm. The conference will be held at the Willingboro Center at 429 John F. Kennedy Way in Willingboro, NJ.
The day will start with a plenary session and continental breakfast. There will be vending opportunities for small businesses during the conference. Following the opening plenary session will be concurrent workshops on topics from education, economic sustainability, criminal justice, health, violence against women, women in politics, and trafficking. Lunch will be served as part of the registration. There will also be a historic discussion with leaders from many fields, including academia, politics, law, medicine, the clergy, as well as activist, parents and college students.
The conference will be part of a greater outreach of the NAACP to showcase the issues of Women and children in the NAACP.
